So, after having essentially finished at Salford University (I only have two more assignments due in until I’m done forever!) I’m finally discovering that, not only do I have the time to play video games again, I also have the time to read things which aren’t related to my course!
Yesterday, for example, I finally finished off Reality Hunger by David Shields, a book which had been recommended to me a hundred times by one of my tutors, and I feel quite pleased with myself that I was able to understand it all. For a novel without any narrative, and created almost from quotations, it was a damn good read!
Next I think I’m either going to reread Will Varley’s Sketch of a Last Day (which I cannot recommend enough!), finally start Zemyetin’s ‘We’ or Nabokov’s Pale Fire, both of which I’ve owne for a while but I simply haven’t had the time to get through.
A gentle reminder, as if you weren’t sick of hearing about it already, my first ‘experimental’ Novella, Adjective Narcissism, is free on Amazon for the next few days! If you do pick it up, I’d appreciate any feedback you might have!
Thanks for reading!
